Acupuncture Journey

I’m so enjoying my new acupuncture journey. I love the facial treatments, however, there is only a certain amount of combined face and acupuncture treatments I can give on a day, or on a week. I also love carrying my needles on my journey when visiting family and friends.

Few days ago I met a family member, who had been diagnosed with a condition of the lungs, which involved a much more limited lung capacity than normal.

I had three days to help him with this condition. On the first day, he reported a much freer sense of breathing, he felt he could breathe from the depth of his lungs. On the second day, he could breathe through his nose, which for a while was not possible for him. After the third treatment, however our discussion on his lifestyle had to take place. I advised him the most obvious thing, to stop smoking. Him, being a long long term smoker, found this advice a bit too demanding. He explained to me that this was not easy for him. This situation made me ponder: ‘how can he be helped further? Have these treatments helped him at all, if he is going to fill up his lungs again with the smoke that created the problem in the first place?’ Then an insight came to me: ‘it wasn’t the smoke that created the problem. It is the emotions behind this long term habit that led to this issue’

So I decided to test him for flower essences to shift this internal pattern. From the testing, the direction became much clearer: a need to acknowledge outdated internal patterns, which will help him get out of a stuck pattern.

I felt to share this with you to see the process behind acupuncture & Bach flower essences.
